A Qalim Cromer
Qalim Cromer is a Litigation Associate who joined Brereton, Mohamed & Korte LLP in 2024. Prior to joining BMK, he served as the Director of Immigration Legal Services at Catholic Charities Diocese of Monterey, where he litigated immigration matters before federal agencies.
Before moving to Santa Cruz, Qalim spent 12 years in the Washington, D.C. area, gaining valuable experience across the legal, nonprofit, and government sectors. His background and familiarity with the legislative process and government regulations enable him to assist clients in achieving their goals within the broader context of competing public and private interests.
Qalim earned his law degree from the David A. Clarke School of Law at the University of the District of Columbia, and his bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyer Association and remains committed to serving his community.
As a former United States Peace Corps Volunteer in Honduras, Qalim’s fluency in Spanish allows him to effectively communicate and connect with clients from diverse backgrounds. In his spare time, he enjoys engaging with local community initiatives aimed at expanding access to legal representation for underrepresented groups.
