While in law school, Emily advocated for the rights of death row inmates in South Carolina as part of Cornell's Capital Punishment clinic.
A native of Madison, Wisconsin, Emily is happy to be living in Santa Cruz with her "loc" husband, Sam, who is also a local attorney.
In her spare time, Emily enjoys running local trails with her dogs, bantering with friends and reading Murakami.
