Aaron is a civil litigator and legal problem solver. He regularly represents individuals, businesses and families in a variety of complex disputes. He has substantial experience with real estate, business and probate litigation matters. Aaron has tried cases to verdict in both bench and jury trials and has negotiated settlements in many other cases. He also handles business and real estate transactions and advises clients on how to avoid litigation when possible.
Aaron believes that a thorough understanding of client goals and expectations is paramount to the successful practice of law - he rejects a one-size-fits-all mentality. Aaron practices with a posture that is both aggressive and pragmatic. He always seeks to protect his clients' rights, property, and interests, while at the same time adhering to the highest degree of professional and ethical standards.
Aaron is a founding partner of Brereton, Mohamed, & Terrazas. He was previously a senior associate with the Brereton Law Office. Prior to his legal career, he managed a small service business in the Bay Area with thirty employees. In that capacity, he obtained valuable insights into the day-to-day operations of a small business and the challenges that employers face in the form of complex and ever- changing government regulations. Using his background in business and law, he has represented businesses in front of administrative agencies at the state and federal levels.
Aaron received his Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Washington, William H. Gates School of Law, where he graduated in the top third of his class. Prior to attending law school, Aaron was an honors graduate in Philosophy and Political Science at the University of California, Davis.
Aaron has been a member of the California State Bar since 2006 and is a Director of the Santa Cruz County Bar Association where he served as President in the year 2023. He is admitted to the United States District Court for the Northern District of California and all California state courts.
Aaron is active in the local community, serving on other boards and at his local church. He also coaches for Santa Cruz Little League and was recognized with the Positive Coaching Award in 2022. A central coast native, Aaron is happy to live and practice law in Santa Cruz County. In his spare time, he enjoys studying the piano and pursuing physical fitness. He speaks conversational Italian.
